1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt

Overnight Angel Biscuits
This recipe is a favorite because you mix up the dough and then let it set in the refrigerator before using. Overnight is long enough, but you can let it set up to three days before baking the biscuits.
1 package active dry yeast
2 teaspoons lukewarm water
5 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup shortening
2 cups buttermilk (at room temperature)
Dissolve yeast in water. In a large bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar and salt. Cut in shortening using a pastry blender or two knives. Stir in yeast mixture and buttermilk. Knead dough until smooth. Put in a covered container; refrigerate overnight or up to three days.
When ready to bake, roll out dough on a floured board to 1/2" thickness. Place on a lightly greased baking sheet with sides just touching. Let set for a few minutes to warm to room temperature, but you don't need to let them rise. If desired, brush tops with melted butter before baking. Bake in a pre-heated 425 degree oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden.

Angelic Recipe for a Happy Life
A heavenly dish that provides the "minimum daily requirement" of inspiration!
2 cups Hope
1 cup Compassion
1 cup Gratitude
1/2 cup Joy
1/4 cup Determination
1/4 cup Encouragement
1 tablespoon Laughter
1 teaspoon Humility
Love as needed
In a large bowl, whip Hope until it's firm enough that it will not fall. Mix in Compassion and Gratitude until well incorporated. Blend in Joy, Determination and Encouragement. Pour into a beautiful presentation dish. Sprinkle with Laughter and Humility. Fill to overflowing with Love.
This is a magical celestial dish! Serve it to everyone you meet, and you'll find the contents replenish themselves so that the dish is always full. Never allow bitterness, jealousy, or contempt to come in contact with the contents of the bowl, because they can quickly sour the other ingredients.
